Thom Powers has served for 19 years as documentary programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival. He was the founding artistic director of DOC NYC, the largest documentary festival in the United States. He currently serves as its Director of Special Projects. He hosts the podcast Pure Nonfiction, interviewing documentary filmmakers, now in its 9th year.
