Born in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, in 1966, Chris Teerink began viewing the world through his father's photo camera at the age of sixteen. After watching "Der Stand der Dingen" by Wim Wenders, he was captivated by the possibilities of cinema. Following three years of studying at the Art Academy in Enschede, he decided to focus definitively on film and made the transition to the Film Academy in Amsterdam. After making films in diverse locations such as the Mojave Desert, remote villages in Transylvania, and the Anthology Film Archives in New York while Jonas Mekas was still alive, he now focused on the poetic space of T.
