The jury, composed of:
Karolina Kuszyk – writer, translator of German literature and university instructor. Her articles have been published in Tygodnik Powszechny, Notes Wydawniczy and Tagesspiegel Berlin. She has taught courses in literary translation and literary criticism at Viadrina University. Her nonfiction book "Poniemieckie" (Czarne Publishing House, 2019), about the transformation of attitudes to German heritage in western Poland, was awarded the Silesian Cultural Prize and the Prize of the Meissen Book Fair and was on the bestseller list of the weekly magazine "Der Spiegel". She lives between Berlin and Lower Silesia.
Artur Wyrzykowski – studied directing (dropped out after two years), production organisation (dropped out after a year) and screenwriting (didn't drop out!). He worked as a story analyst and development producer for several years. He has made five short films in three years and is now preparing for his feature-length debut, “To się nie dzieje”. He makes films because inviting people into his fantasies is a great privilege and a great joy.
Anna Zubrzycki – founder and director of Mindfulness Association Poland, actress. She has been practicing Buddhist meditation and mindfulness since 1993. She holds an MA in mindfulness from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and has completed supervisor training at Bangor University and the Mindfulness Association UK. She teaches mindfulness-based acting training “Coordination Technique” and vocal techniques. She runs the art and community project “Błaźnice”, addressing the issue of women's presence and creative activity. She founded Teatr Pieśń Kozła, co-created the Brave Festival and was the main actress of the Gardzienice theatre group.
will award the Lower Silesia Grand Prix to the director of the best film selected from the documentaries competing in the Main Competition of the Wrocław’s festival edition.
After the gala, we invite you to the screening of "Every Little Thing", directed by Sally Aitken, and we will share our thoughts over a glass of wine afterwards.
