Yorgos Krassakopoulos is the Head of Programming at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival and the Thessaloniki Documentary film Festival. In the past Yorgos has worked as a film critic in various print, digital and online media, and has been one of the founders of the Athens International Film Festival, as well as the co-founder of Flix.gr, the most respected and influential film related publication in Greece. He has also worked in theatrical distribution with Playtime, a boutique distribution company with an eclectic taste. After collaborating with the Thessaloniki International Film Festival in many capacities through the years (moderating masterclasses, editing or contributing to festival publications and monographs etc), he joined the team full time as a programmer in 2011. In 2016 he became the Head of Programming for both the Thessaloniki Film Festival and the Thessaloniki Documentary Film Festival, a position that he holds to this day.
