Rebecca Hirneise was born and raised in southern germany and has now been living and working in Vienna for ten years. She has previously worked in documentary and feature films as well as experimental films. After training as a photographer, Rebecca Hirneise studied media art at the University of Arts and Design in Karlsruhe and directing and screenwriting at the Vienna Film Academy. Rebecca Hirneise has been working very closely with the Austrian filmmaker, producer and author Ruth Beckermann for many years. After numerous collaborations with other filmmakers, she completed her first feature-length cinema documentary ZWISCHEN UNS GOTT, for which she worked as a writer, producer and director.
