It is a great honour for the festival to host the official international premiere of the film "Sugarcane" by Emily Kassie and Julian Brave NoiseCat, with the participation of the director duo who received the Best Director award at Sundance. This gripping and masterfully executed story confronts us with the decades-long pain of Canada's Indigenous people in a remarkably sensitive way, questioning whether there will ever be justice for Sugarcane. The directors and the film will be introduced by Her Excellency Catherine Godin, Ambassador of Canada to Poland, who will also join us for a discussion. After the screening, we invite you to stay for a meeting with the filmmakers. The meeting will be held in English with translation into Polish.
