Friday, May 10 | 8:30 p.m. | Kino Muza 1
Opening of the festival. Meeting with the director of the film “FOREST” Lidia Duda and the protagonists: Asia, Marek, Marysia, Ignacy and Frank
after the screening of the film "Forest", dir. Lidia Duda
Fresh university graduates, Asia and Marek bought an old house near the eastern border of Poland, in the Białowieża Forest, the oldest forest in Europe. This is their paradise – a place where their children can grow up safely, away from the problems of today’s world. Soon after their move, a refugee crisis broke out on the Polish-Belarusian border, which changed the surrounding forests irrevocably. We will talk about sensitivity to others' fate, politics that unexpectedly knocks on one's door, the need for help and the conscious upbringing of children after the screening of the film with the director Lidia Duda, as well as with the protagonists: Asia, Marek, Marysia, Ignacy and Franek.
